About NSS
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of the Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. Launched in 1969, the scheme aims to instill the idea of social welfare in students and to provide service to society without bias.
The motto of NSS is "Not Me, But You", which reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for selfless service.
Objective
To develop the personality and character of student youth through voluntary community service.
