The institution accords high priority to the systematic maintenance and upkeep of its physical, academic, and support facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and learner-friendly environment. Adequate mechanisms are in place for the regular monitoring and maintenance of infrastructure, ensuring uninterrupted academic and administrative functioning.
The maintenance activities include:
-
Periodic cleaning, whitewashing/painting, and minor repairs of classrooms, laboratories, library, and administrative buildings.
-
Regular servicing and upkeep of laboratory instruments, computers, projectors, and ICT equipment to ensure optimal performance.
-
Maintenance of furniture, electrical fittings, lighting systems, water facilities, and fans across all departments.
-
Repair and maintenance of sanitary and plumbing facilities to provide a hygienic environment.
-
Upkeep of library infrastructure including furniture, shelves, computer systems, and reading spaces.
-
Landscaping and maintenance of greenery, gardens, internal roads, and common areas to maintain a pleasant campus atmosphere.
-
Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) for essential equipment and ICT resources wherever applicable.
The funds required for these activities are primarily met through the Self-Finance funds of the college. A portion of the revenue generated from self-finance courses is systematically allocated for infrastructure maintenance. This ensures that all physical and academic facilities are well maintained, upgraded as needed, and remain functional throughout the academic year to support teaching, learning, and research activities.
