COLLEGE PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE (CPDC)
The College Planning and Development Council (CPDC) of the Government Degree College shall be constituted under the leadership of the Principal, who will act as the Chairperson of the Council. The Chairperson will nominate members to the CPDC from among the Staff Council of the college. Senior Lecturers shall be selected as members of the Council. From among these members, a Convener will be elected to coordinate the functioning of the Council.The tenure of the CPDC will be two years. If any member is transferred, retires, or leaves the institution during this period, their membership will automatically cease. In the event of a change in Principal, the newly appointed Principal will assume the role of Chairperson of the CPDC.
Parents of enrolled students and Alumni students shall also serve as elected members of the Council. However, their membership will automatically terminate once their ward completes the course. Any vacancies arising among the parent members during the term will be filled by the Principal as and when required.
Objectives of the College Planning and Development Council (CPDC)

To create a mechanism for active community participation in the planning and development of the college.

To mobilize public contributions for developmental activities of the college.

To provide suggestions for the introduction of relevant academic courses based on the needs of the local area, aimed at improving the quality of education.

To create a conducive environment for academic, cultural, and social activities for the overall benefit of students.

To act as a platform for collaboration between the community and the college for mutual benefit.
Functions of the College Planning and Development Council (CPDC)

To work towards the effective implementation and furtherance of the objectives of the CPDC.

To manage the affairs of the CPDC, including the admission of new members as and when vacancies arise.

To maintain a separate CPDC bank account in a nationalised bank for handling financial matters related to development activities.

To generate dedicated CPDC funds and ensure their proper utilization for the benefit of the college.

To prepare a detailed development plan along with annual budgetary allocations for various college development activities.
